Jane Goodall is Amazing. Beautiful Video:
This made me cry a lot. If I could be even the tiniest fraction as helpful as Jane Goodall in my lifetime, I would rest in peace. Thank you to everyone in this world who truly does their best to be a good person and give as much of themselves as possible. There are so many of you out there, and I am so grateful. This big virtual hug is for all of you who work to rescue animals of all kinds and who care for your fellow humans and mother Earth. What a beautiful place we live in.
Dolphins so close I could touch them!!!
Ok here is the actual video. It's just a short clip, but apparently, after viewing all my footage... I am terrible at filming!! Like really bad. The kind of situation where I say "holy crap is that a snake in the water??" and then I don't point the camera anywhere near that direction.. I seriously have a lot to learn. I guess I was so overwhelmed by the whole encounter that I just lost all my logical sense. I will get better footage next time and learn from my mistakes.. Sorry guys! I'm trying!
and here's another short clip:
Anyway there is only room for improvement, and next time I will try to be more focused on what I'm doing instead of freaking out about seeing dolphins ;)
Naked Guy and other updates :)
Well I have taken every single thing out of my tent and cleaned, and there appears to be no more bullet ants, so I'm moving back in. I'll try filling the holes better this time. Last night I went out dancing at Maracatu's "ladies night' (not nearly as creepy as that sounds), and the DJ was killing it- (awesome). Found out the owner is vegan and that's why they serve mostly vegan and vegetarian food
What else happened yesterday? I got to pet a beautiful horse, who came right up to me when I called him over, Oh, and I also ran into a naked guy on the beach... I had walked way to the end where there are big rocks that form a little private alcove, and I sat in the water, soothing the fire ant stings I had just received a few minutes earlier, when I apparently stepped into their territory (sorrrrry). This guy came right up to me, naked, and since he was standing and I was sitting... the conversation went something like this (in Spanish): What's your name?
Lyn. You are not wearing any clothes.
Yes, I was running. ?
Where are you from?
Toronto.
Do you have a boyfriend?
Yep.
Then he went and looked around the other side of the rocks (maybe to see if anyone was coming?), and I got creeped out and took off.
After dancing I slept in a souped-up tent (equipped with a mattress!), on the deck of a local cafe called Moca. The owner, Josh, lived in a tent for a year in Australia, and has been super supportive of the project, and since I was trying to avoid bullet ants, I said yes to his funny proposition
The people here are soooo amazing. I love them. I will write about them soon, because I love the way these people raise their families and take care of each other.
Wish me luck tonight in the tent! John is ing me an incredible tent that is suspended from three trees and looks like a ufo! I cannot wait to see it! You are a life saver, John!! — with Good In Tent Project and beautiful-vegan.com.

Hmmm, bullet Ants in my tent... eek!
Ok... So I just removed 2 of these ants from my tent with a cup. I was really really hoping they were not bullet ants, but on the second one I got really close up video, and it definitely is. I was stung by a bullet ant in Mexico, at a rainbow gathering, and now I know why they are called that- feels like my hand was shot off, and I couldn't stop screaming and crying. Looks like the whole hammock through my tent idea with the gaping holes, were a bad idea. I will be posting the video of this guy in my cup so you can see. For now, here is a photo from ann article. I know there is a lot of drama that I'm projecting t attract all of this, but it's just me getting used to being here. Things are good in general, and I am on an adventure, so it's fine. If I see another one in here I will go stay in. A hostel until the other tent arrives. We live and we learn... :)) x
