Good morning my lovelies! Hope everyone is doing their very best to live a good life today. I am more determined than ever to be a positive force for change. It's just a mindset and a way of behaving in this world. Yesterday James and I went for a beautiful walk in the woods about an hour outside of Toronto, where there is a lovely waterfall and a log fire going all the time. We saw two deer, a partridge and a chickadee landed on my hand!
On the way home though, we saw an empty pig transport truck coming back from the a drop off at the slaughter house :( The energy of that sight was so painful for me. It seems hopeless sometimes when all I use are positive messages and actions, but an entire truckload of pigs, as I am writing this, are having their throats slit because bacon has become more trendy than ever.
This is what free pigs look like :)
I know that good always prevails. I really do believe this. So I just have to get through to people without preaching. Preaching has the opposite effect, in my experience. It gets people up in arms and when we are defensive nothing is accomplished. I have converted more souls to veganism by simply being me, and not really saying anything negative. This is not a war, but I do need an army. This army must be strong and have the confidence to reach out in a positive way to those who cannot see the light.
I don't care why people go vegan, if it's simply for their health, fine. If it's for the planet Earth and environmentalism, great. And if it's for the animals, amazing. Just get there. Be supportive of those who are making efforts to cut out even a bit of meat from their diets, instead of chastising them for not being entirely vegan. One step always leads to another, so encourage them!
Well this is my method, and I am unapologetic for the way I am. If this is not enough action, then I will pay for it with Karma, but I really feel I am doing my best. This blog has turned into a resource for people all over the world, and my team and I are just a few small people. This is only the beginning though! I promise to be a catalyst for positive change on this little planet, until the day I die.
I''m with you! I want to be on your team. This is exactly how I have felt all my life. It gets so depressing sometimes because I live in Houston, Texas and don't have anyone like me around me. But the animals need someone to speak for them! Thank you for your commitment and your wonderful website! We need those Beautiful Vegan t-shirts!

I love your website.....You are doing a great thing for all of us, vegans and nonvegans....Keep up the good work.............Bless you all....♥♥♥
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you. I have lot of friends who start questionning themselves about their eating/ethical habits, and some that are interesting to veganism. I never go to anyone trying to preach or convince them, but they see how I act and start asking, then I give them answers.
It's the best way to rally anyone. Just by being yourself. :o)
Have a wonderful day.
